Today is the opening of the spring training schedule. As loyal Tiger’s fan know on the first game of the spring schedule Ernie would quote “The Song of Solomon.” It is not nearly the same typed in a blog, but it’s the thought that matters. This is in honor of one of the greatest broadcasters ever and a fixture in the childhood of all Tiger’s fans.

“For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land.”

God Bless Ernie Harwell!

Ernie Harwell was one of the best!
Such a a great voice.

I still have an album of the Tigers 1968.
Hearing Ernie call the highlights..brings back memories.

The Best Is...

What is the name of that album from the 68 Tigers? Is it possible to find it somewhere? Ernie was a large part of my childhood growing up listening to the Tigers.
